The 22-year-old man returned to Vietnam from Angola on October 20 and was sent to centralized quarantine at a military camp in northern Bac Ninh province. He had been tested negative twice for the new coronavirus during quarantine, but the third test arriving on Friday said he is positive.

Among the 1,213 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam, 1,070 have recovered and 35 died. As of 2 PM Saturday, the coronavirus pandemic has infected more than 49.6 million people and killed over 1.2 million.
