AO victims grateful to British PM

Len Aldis - Chairman of the UK-Vietnam Friendship Association has presented British Prime Minster David Cameron gifts from Vietnamese Agent Orange (AO) victims as thanks for supporting their fundraiser. The gifts comprised a selection of beautiful hand-embroidered linen and colourful hand-painted pictures made by AO child victims from Hoa Binh Village, Tu Du Hospital in HCM City, and the Cancer Hospital in Da Nang City.

Earlier, the British All Party Parliament Group on Viet Nam and the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK organised a reception to celebrate the growing ties between the two countries, and an auction to raise funds for AO victims. Earlier, the British All Party Parliament Group on Viet Nam and the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK organised a reception at the Portcullis House to celebrate the growing ties between the two countries and an auction to raise funds for AO victims. Items sold at the auction were donated by a number of celebrities. One of the items was a book which British Prime Minister personally chose and signed on. This is the first time an auction for social purposes has been organized at the Portcullis House.
