ASEAN Summits to endorse 80 key documents

 ASEAN leaders, international partners, and representatives from regional and global organizations gathered to discuss critical issues under the 2024 cooperation theme: "ASEAN: Promoting Connectivity and Resilience."

The leaders focused on advancing the ASEAN Community Building Process, including the completion of the 2025 Master Plans and laying the groundwork for the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and its future strategies. They also reviewed ASEAN's relationships with its key partners, discussing various regional and global challenges.

These summits are expected to adopt and acknowledge around 80 documents, addressing numerous priorities and cooperation areas both within ASEAN and between ASEAN and its partners. As Laos holds the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024, these meetings represent a crucial opportunity for ASEAN and its partners to deliberate on and make strategic decisions affecting the region.
