Bui Thi Hoa, President of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, said that at this quadrennial conference, host Vietnam will focus on environmental protection issues.

“We’ll minimize the use of banners in all communication activities, and replace them with LED screens to disseminate news and conference messages. All decorative materials will be environment-friendly materials such as bamboo, to introduce traditional Vietnamese products,” said Hoa.

She said the organizing board hopes to minimize carbon emissions and will coordinate with VinFast to use electric cars as shuttle buses to transport foreign delegates to the conference venues and sideline activities.
