Australia’s ABC News applauds Vietnam’s quick, decisive response to COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Australia’s ABC News website on Wednesday posted an article entitled “How has Vietnam, a developing nation in South-East Asia, done so well to combat coronavirus?”
The paper said despite sharing a border spanning more than 1,400 kilometres with China, Vietnam has reported less than 300 cases. ABC News said: “key to Vietnam's success have been strategic testing, aggressive contact tracing and effective public communications campaigns. Most importantly, it did these things quickly.”
The paper quoted Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc as saying "The risk of COVID-19 is low now, and that's a good thing," "But we need to stay vigilant."
