At least 6 people were killed and 29 wounded in bomb attacks that involved several car bombs and roadside bombs in Baghdad. Meanwhile, 4 people were killed and 12 were wounded when a car bomb exploded in al-Bunough, in northeast Baghdad. A car explosion in a crowded street in Karrada district, southern Baghdad, killed 2 and wounded 8. The UN Secretary General's Special Representative for Iraq, Martin Kobler asked Iraqi leaders to summon an emergency meeting to address the continuous conflict. The Iraqi government announced measures to stabilize the situation-using the militia, holding a political summit, and better equipping security forces.
