The communiqué on September 27th said that CNRP’s announcement to reject the 5th Government and call on the international community not to recognize the government has violated the law.  The parliament said that in a negotiation between leaders of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and CNRP on September 16-17, CNRP acknowledged that CPP won 68 seats and CNRP got 55 seats in the 5th Parliament, which was formed under the Constitution. CNRP’s opposition went against the Constitution and the King of Cambodia, who chaired the first parliamentary meeting to appoint the Prime Minister and other government posts.
