China has seriously violated international law principles, in particular relating to acquisition of territory. The principle stated that the land for acquisition must be without owners, the land has to be acquired by state not private entities, and it has to be done through effective acquisition and consolidated by historical norms. He said: “Thus China has no historical grounds because of breaching the first rule because Truong Sa and Hoang Sa have belonged to Vietnam since the 17^th century and Vietnam has exercised its constant sovereignty on the two archipelagoes since then. This is not a land without lord. China violated the 3^rd rule as they have never acquired, nor continuously acquired and peacefully acquired the archipelagoes. Consequently, China has violated the Law on acquisition of land principles.”

Prof Dr Huan said China’s arguments are without legal grounds, historical facts and consistency. All serve their plot to acquire the whole East Sea.
