Costa Rica wants to enhance relations with Vietnam
(VOVworld)- Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship Jose Enrique Catillo Barrantes has affirmed his country’s policy of developing cooperation with Asia-Pacific, including Vietnam, and its desire to strengthen ties with Southeast Asia through Vietnam. He told Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh in Hanoi yesterday that trade, agriculture, tourism, culture and education will be priority cooperation fields. FM Minh asked the two ministries to intensify delegation exchanges at all levels, regularly hold political consultations, and foster the signing of cooperative agreements in order to create a favorable legal framework for economic, trade and investment ties. The same day, the Costa Rican guest was received by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, who affirmed that the Vietnamese State and Government supported the development of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Costa Rica in Vietnam’s master policy on relations with the Latin America.
During his visit to Vietnam which ended on Monday, the Costa Rican Minister also laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Martyr’s Monument and visited Ha Long Bay.
