COVID-19 continues ravaging the US, certain Asian countries
(VOVWORLD) - As of Wednesday, the world recorded more than 7.3 million COVID-19 infections and over 413,000 deaths, according to worldometers.info.

The epidemic has receded in Europe, allowing its economies to begin to reopen.
But the situation remains serious in America and certain Asian countries, forcing their governments to carefully consider any plans to resume economic activities.
The US leads the world, with more than 2 million infections and 114,000 deaths.
The epidemic situation is grim in India and Iran. On Tuesday, authorities in Delhi warned that the number of infections there could increase 20 fold to half a million in the next few weeks.
An Iranian health official estimates that 15 million Iranians—nearly 19% of the population—may have been infected since the outbreak in February.
