Deputy FM: Vietnam considers population work key for national development

At a reception for Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund

(UNFPA) and Björn Andersson, Regional Director of the UNFPA Asia Pacific, in Hanoi on Friday, Quy asked UNFPA to continue helping Vietnam in policy consultation, including the compilation of the Law on Population and settlement of aging population and unbalanced gender ratio at birth.

Kanem said UNFPA vows to help Vietnam implement population development policy and promote gender equality and women empowerment to contribute to Vietnam’s construction and development.
