The railway line had been severely disrupted by the aftermath of Storm Yagi and heavy flooding. Following emergency repair efforts, the tracks were cleared and restored for use as of September 15. However, with several areas still requiring trains to operate at reduced speeds - between 10 to 15 km/h - only freight services had been operating until now.

The SP3 passenger train will depart from Hanoi at 10:00 p.m., while the SP4 train will leave Lao Cai at 9:30 p.m.

The Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company is also selling bus tickets for transfer from Lao Cai Station to destinations within a 2 km radius of the Stone Church in Sapa, or vice versa.

Le Minh Tuan, Deputy General Director of the Company, said. We are focusing on upgrading the facilities, and repairing damage caused by the storm. At the same time, we also focus on improving the service quality on the trains. There will be various promotion programs with discounts to attract customers, especially tourists traveling to Sapa."
