(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam had a meeting on Friday in Hanoi with the national cultural heritage council where he hailed the council’s past contributions in preserving Vietnam’s cultural values and promoting them in the world. He asked the council to accelerate its promotion of Vietnamese cultural heritage and relics in addition to assessing and ranking cultural relics, as well as organizing seminars and fact-finding tours on culture. He acknowledged the council’s suggestions for enhancing research activities on the culture of Vietnam’s sea and islands, preserving national treasures, and establishing a body in charge of underwater archaeology.
