Mr. Phuc, who is also head of the steering board for reviewing the law, said despite certain achievements in the area, there remain flaws in the city’s implementation of anti-corruption policies and reclamation of corrupted assets.
Deputy PM Phuc said: “we should be determined to design comprehensive measures including those relating to anti-corruption, to develop the city. It’s necessary to strengthen the prevention of corruption for local socioeconomic development, as well as building the reputation of the Party and the Vietnamese government. I call on Ho Chi Minh City authorities to finalize the report reviewing 10 years of implementing the law and recommend specific proposals to make the work more effective.”
