(VOVworld)-A festival featuring the northern mountain region’s folk culture was held in Ea Tam commune, Dak Lak province on Friday and Saturday.

Dinh Cong Huong, Secretary of the commune’s Party Committee, said Ea Tam has 11,000 people, 84% of them are ethnic minority people from the northern region.
The festival which regularly takes place at the 15th day of the first lunar month aims to preserve the typical cultural characteristics and create favorable conditions for all people to strengthen solidarity with central highlands ethnic groups.

Huong underscored the need to “organize such festival to preserve Then singing or Sap dancing for our descendants and keep traditional cultural identities forever.”
