(VOVWORLD) - Indonesian businesses and nationals have donated 7,400 USD and essential goods worth more than 5,000 USD to Ho Chi Minh City for their COVID-19 fight.

The gifts were handed over to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City by Yovanka Yoan Siahainenia, Indonesia’s Acting Consul General in the city, on Wednesday.
Edwin Setiawan Tjie, President of the Indonesian Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City, said that Indonesian firms always pay heed to social affairs and hope that Ho Chi Minh City will soon get the pandemic under control and develop their economy for a new normal.
The Good Neighbours, a South Korean non-governmental organization, gave 1,000 gifts of essential goods worth 22,000 USD to people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Tan Phu district.
