(VOVworld) - Hanoi honored more than 100 outstanding students who achieved top marks in the city’s university and academy graduation exams this year.

The awards ceremony, which took place at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, yesterday encouraged students to enrich their knowledge and make a contribution to society. Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi applauded the students and told them: “Your tremendous pride is the beginning of a new stage of determination and effort. We are confident of your future success and contribution to national development.”

Hanoi has honored over 1,000 most outstanding graduates over the past decade.
