(VOVWORLD) - Hanoi Mayor Nguyen Duc Chung has underscored the importance of gathering all available resources for the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, which has reached a critical moment.
Mr. Chung, who is also head of the city’s Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control, said at a recent online meeting.
“The municipal Health Department is well prepared to respond to the pandemic on a large scale."
"Plans have been made to protect health workers, particularly doctors, who are treating Covid-19 patients. Medical staff must stay sufficiently strong and healthy to work long hours during this epidemic,” the capital's Mayor said.
He asked the Hanoi Capital High Command to coordinate with the Municipal Police in managing quarantined areas and ensuring adequate nutrition and food hygiene there.
