HCMC urged to create breakthroughs in institution, development reforms

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Saturday chaired a meeting with the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to discuss the implementation of the National Assembly resolution on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the city's development.

In his address, Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged that while the city's socio-economic situation has shown steady growth over the past nine months, it has yet to achieve significant breakthroughs. He emphasized the need to remove obstacles in policies and mechanisms, in line with the directives from General Secretary and President To Lam at the 10th Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee, urging for breakthroughs in reforming institution and development, personnel works, and the development of socio-economic infrastructure.

Chairman Tran Thanh Man also highlighted the importance of enhancing the city’s international competitiveness, improving labor productivity, and upgrading the quality of human resources to prepare for the upcoming Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress, and the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2026-2031 term.
