(VOVWORLD) -The Navy Region 4 Command on Wednesday delivered Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts from Cam Ranh Military Port to the officers, soldiers, and people working and living on the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

The gift-giving ahead of the Lunar New Year demonstrates the great care of the Party, State, Ministry of National Defense, and the Navy as well as the affection, enthusiasm, and responsibility of mainlanders for Truong Sa islanders. This activity is for the cause of protecting the sea and islands of the Fatherland and take caring of the soldiers and people stationed in Truong Sa island district.
In addition to typical Tet foods, the gifts include many types of ornamental plants, fresh flowers, and decorative items, with the hope that the islanders will celebrate the new year to the fullest, both materially and spiritually.
Colonel Le Dinh Hai, Deputy Commander of Brigade 146, Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province, said, “We deliver goods to officers, soldiers and people living on Truong Sa with the highest sense of responsibility, personally sending the feelings of the mainland to Truong Sa.”
