They have agreed to increase investment and jointly explore oil and gas in the East Sea.
Consul General Smita Pant noted the time-honoured friendship between the two countries which was founded by late Prime Minister Jawaharlan Nehru of India and late President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam:“India and Vietnam have established strong and deep strategic partnership. It has expanded in various areas, from national defence and security to trade, investment, science-technology, information technology, agriculture, education, and culture. I am thankful to Vietnamese people’s support and friendliness, especially from Ho Chi Minh City locals, who have promoted bilateral traditional friendship.”
