Hung Yen province urged to lead industrialization and modernization

The northern province of Hung Yen celebrated its 180th founding anniversary on Sunday. Addressing the event, State President Truong Tan Sang lauded the province’s time-honored culture, learning tradition and patriotism. He added: “Local authorities and people should take the lead in the process industrialization, modernization and international integration while paying greater attention to human resources, social and cultural affairs and political security. Hung Yen needs to accomplish all the missions assigned by the Party ahead of schedule”. From an agriculture-based province, Hung Yen has emerged to become a socio-economic engine in the Red River Delta with an average annual growth of 12%.
