(VNA) - 250 policy makers, senior officials and experts of ASEAN and India gathered at a workshop on renewable energy cooperation which opened in New Delhi on Monday.

The two-day event focuses on policy and regulatory frameworks to strengthen cooperation in new and renewable energy between India and ASEAN countries. Participants will share experience in developing renewable energy, identify institutions for long-term cooperation, and make preparations for the ASEAN-India Energy Ministers’ Meeting scheduled for November 7. At that meeting, the ministers will discuss the financing of renewable energy, cooperation in research and development, technology transfer, and resource assessment.
