Vu Hong Thanh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, said the Government submitted to the National Assembly several important laws for approval, including the 2024 Land Law, the 2023 Housing Law, and the 2023 Law on Real Estate Business.
Deputy Mai Van Hai of Thanh Hoa province proposed some solutions to meet the goal of constructing at least 1 million social houses for low-income individuals and industrial park workers during the 2021-2030 period.
He said that the Government should remain focused on removing obstacles in the policies for social housing, especially in land investment and planning.
It needs to amend policies to attract investors and improve access to social housing for low-income people and workers, he said, adding, "I recommend that the Government continue to adjust the national land use plan, prioritizing land for social housing, particularly in large cities and industrial parks."
Many deputies asked the Government to take stronger measures to control real estate speculation to ensure that the market develops in a healthy, sustainable way.
