NA Vice Chairwoman greets German guest
(VOVworld) - Vietnam always supports and creates the best possible conditions for German firms and those from the State of Hessen to invest and do long-term business in Vietnam, said National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong. During her reception for Nicola Beer, General Secretary of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in Hanoi on Tuesday, Phong said that Vietnam attaches importance to its relations with Germany and hailed Germany’s role in the European Union. She added that the Vietnam-Germany Strategic Partnership has developed strongly in all fields over the last four years, noting that Hessen state, as the leading economic-financial and education centre in Germany and Europe, plays an important role in promoting bilateral ties.
Praising cooperation between Hessen State and Vietnam in the field of education and training through the Vietnam-Germany University project, Phong suggested the Hessen authorities continue their support for Vietnam in the next phases of the project. Nicola Beer said that her country and Hessen State are very interested in vocational training in Vietnam. She promised to work to further promote Vietnam-Germany cooperation.
