(VOVworld)- The 5th session of the 13th National Assembly will open in Hanoi on Monday. At a press conference in Hanoi on Friday, Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said that during the 1-month-session, the National Assembly is expected to pass 10 draft laws, 1 resolution and discuss 7 other draft laws, and study the government report on the implementation of the budget and socio-economic plans. Reports on the signing of a government agreement on the free movement of migrants and marriages in the border area between Vietnam and Laos will also be high on the agenda. Some cabinet members will participate in the Q&A session. Mr. Phuc elaborates: “The deputies will discuss revisions to the 1992 Constitution. We will present to the National Assembly approximately 150 pages summarizing people’s opinions on this issue. In addition, the National Assembly will also discuss the Land Law, which plays an important role in politics, economics and society and greatly concerns people. For the first time, the National Assembly will conduct and cast votes of confidence on those members elected and approved by the National Assembly. Before the Q&A session with cabinet members, the Deputy Prime Minister will speak on behalf of the government, reporting on the implementation of the National Assembly’s Q&A resolution”.

The National Assembly has relieved Minister of Finance Vuong Dinh Hue from duties because he has been assigned to become Head of the Party’s Central Committee’s Economic Commission. The National Assembly will elect a new Minister of Finance and Audit Chief.
