(VOVworld)- National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son has spoken highly of the recent establishment of a strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia. During Tuesday talks in Indonesia with his Indonesian counterpart Promono Anung Wibowo, Son said the partnership will deepen the ties between Vietnam and Indonesia. Son reiterated Vietnam’s stance on resolving disputes in the East Sea through peaceful means without use or threat of forces and with respect for international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Declaration of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea, and ASEAN’s six point principle. The Vice Chairman said Vietnam looks forward to the establishment of the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea. He urged the two countries to expand cooperation, strengthen solidarity and adopt a common voice within ASEAN on East Sea issues.
