(VOVworld) – At Thursday’s National Assembly meeting, more than 70% of the deputies approved Nguyen Van Nen, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, as the new Minister-Chairman of the Government Office.

With 86% of the votes in favor, Mr. Nen will be the new spokesperson for the government replacing Vu Duc Dam, who left to take over a Deputy Prime Minister portfolio.

Also at today’s meeting, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung proposed an increase in the number of deputy chairmen in several NA bodies. Lawmakers are scheduled to discuss the draft Marriage and Family Law and draft amendments and supplements to the Law on Health Insurance.
