(VNA) – A delegation of senior Vietnamese officials led by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung laid wreath at the Cambodian Embassy in Hanoi on Wednesday, paying tribute to Cambodia's former King Norodom Sihanouk. Chairman Hung wrote in the mourners’ book that former King Norodom Sihanouk was the father of the Cambodian people and a friend of Vietnamese people. Vietnam will forever remember the former King’s valuable contributions to the Vietnamese-Cambodian friendship and relations.

The same day, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Truong Tan Sang sent wreaths in honor of the former King.
