(VOVworld)- Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong received the outgoing Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Fredesman Turro Gonzalez in Hanoi on Monday. At the meeting, the Party leader praised the Ambassador’s fine sentiment for and contributions to consolidating and boosting the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba, especially the special relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of Cuba. Trong expressed his belief that in his new post, the Ambassador would continue to contribute to the relationship between the two Parties, States and peoples. He said he hoped that the two countries will work out new mechanisms and measures to effectively boost their bilateral cooperation in economics, trade and investment to the same level as their political relationship.
