Party official visits Mozambique

(VOVworld) - A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Van Binh, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, concluded their four-day visit to Mozambique on Thursday.

During his stay, Mr. Binh met with Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario and FRELIMO Party General Secretary Eliseu Joaquin Machava. The Mozambique leaders affirmed the importance of the relationship between the two parties, and thanked the Vietnamese Party for its help in training FRELIMO’s officials and its assistance in developing agriculture and telecommunications.

Mr. Binh suggested the two parties boost exchanges of delegations to share experience in theoretical research, State governance, and national construction, to strengthen economic and trade ties between the two countries. The Vietnamese Party official proposed that Vietnam and Mozambique cooperate in mining coal and precious metals. He also asked Mozambique to create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to invest in producing rice, cashews, and soybeans, as well as in bonded warehouses for export processing zones and trading centers.
