The 2024 G20 Summit will take the theme of “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet”. It will prioritize discussions on poverty reduction, sustainable development, energy transition, and reform of global governance institutions.

The Prime Minister will deliver speeches at the summit to share Vietnam’s lessons on poverty reduction as well as perspectives and approaches on the implementation of its strategies for sustainable development and energy transition, according to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Thanh Binh.

This is an opportunity for Vietnam to actively, positively, and responsibly contribute to critical and urgent global issues, in line with the country’s position and capabilities as it enters a new era of development, he said.

“The PM’s attendance and speeches at the summit will deliver a strong message on a dynamic and innovative Vietnam, ready to shoulder global responsibilities," Deputy Minister Binh said.
