PM receives Russian Federation Council Chairwoman

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday received in Hanoi Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council. Dung expressed his wish that relevant agencies of Vietnam and Russia will work more closely on economics, trade, investment, science-technology and energy. He asked Russia to provide more scholarships for Vietnam and pledged to do his utmost to boost bilateral strategic partnership.

Earlier the same day, Matviyenko visited the Ho Chi Minh National Academy for Politics and Public Administration (HCMA) as part her ongoing visit to Vietnam. Professor, Doctor Ta Ngoc Tan, Director of the Academy said at the reception: “Amidst the era’s momentous changes, the Party, State and people of Vietnam, including teachers, scientists and generations of students are consistent with our development path, which was opened by the Russian October Revolution and the Vietnam August Revolution. The Vietnamese are watching with keen interests major socio-economic, and defence achievements of Russia and its enhanced position in the international arena. Information of Russia is filled in books and curriculums of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy for Politics and Public Administration.”

Chairwoman  Matviyenko said Russia will work to contribute to Vietnam’s successes, which is one of prioritized policies of Russia towards Vietnam.
