Presbyterian Church of Vietnam convenes second congress

(VOVworld) - The Party and State always acknowledge and highly value the contributions of religious compatriots, including Protestants. Deputy Head of the Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs, Bui Thanh Ha, made the remarks at the Presbyterian Church of Vietnam’s second congress, held in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday to review its activities during the first tenure and plans for the next four years.

He added that the Government believes the church will continue to maintain its activities in accordance with the law and further contribute to the national construction and renewal process. The church now has some 17,000 followers from 22 cities and provinces across Vietnam.
