President Truong Tan Sang has spoken highly of An Giang province’s achievements in socio-economic development and judicial reform. At a working session with provincial authorities, President Sang asked An Giang to pay more attention to socio-economic development planning and manufacturing products of high value. He said An Giang needs to invest more in agriculture and replicate  farming models for poverty reduction: “I have good impression about this place, where there are innovations to expand production. I also welcome An Giang’s idea of exemplary fields, through which production costs reduce and product competitiveness increases. An Giang is going to the right direction”.

Regarding judicial reforms, President Sang, who is also Head of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform, stressed the need to improve the quality of investigation, prosecution and trial, and raise citizens’ awareness about their responsibilities for national construction and defence.
