(VOVworld) – At a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for Danish ambassador Charlotte Laursen, who is beginning her term in Vietnam, President Tran Dai Quang said Vietnam treasures its traditional friendship with Denmark.

Mr. Quang thanked the Danish government for choosing Vietnam as one of 10 countries to implement its growth strategy. He expressed his belief that Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement, which will be signed soon, will open cooperative opportunities for both sides, including their business communities.

Ambassador Laursen said Danish investors are interested in the Vietnamese market and that many Danish companies are already successfully operating in areas such as food, agriculture, and aquaculture in Vietnam. She added both countries have great potential for deepening their relationship.
