(VOV/VOVworld) - President Truong Tan Sang, and several National Assembly deputies today/Wednesday met with voters in HCM City’s district 1. During their meeting, the deputies briefed voters on the agenda for the 4^th session of the 13^th National Assembly, which will be held in Hanoi later this month. In regards to the just concluded plenum of the 11^th Party Central Committee, President Truong Tan Sang said that the Politburo and the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat was keeping a close eye on performance. The President said: "The forthcoming session of the National Assembly will approve legal mechanisms so that on a yearly basis, the National Assembly can hold votes of confidence in us. This move is a pro-active measure and closed votes of confidence will be held to evaluate those who hold key positions in the country. The Party Central Committee will also carry out an evaluation every year".

In response to voters’ concerns over corruption, the President said that in addition to the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, the National Assembly will revise the Law on Anti Corruption and fine tune the Steering Committee for Anti Corruption. The President called on voters to help the Party and State combat bureaucracy, corruption and waste.
