Russia's high economic growth in Q2
(VOVWORLD) - The Russian Economic Development Minister said Wednesday that Russia’s economic growth accelerated in the second quarter of this year and is likely to exceed 2 percent for the entire year.

Maxim Oreshkin estimated that the Russian GDP grew 2.7 in the second quarter. Based on that encouraging performance, Oreshkin said the Ministry's previous two-percent forecast for this year seems a little conservative. He said he expects further strengthening of positive tendencies in the economy this fall, highlighting the growth of domestic consumption and the energy sector.
