In her latest research on the cultural heritage of Hanoi Opera House, French Professor Corinne Flicker clarified the life and art career of Claude Bourrin, the theater’s first Director, and introduced the formation of Vietnam’s modern theater in the early 20th century.
The seminar examined how Claude Bourrin adapted the conventions of dramatic art to the Vietnamese stage and paved the way for it to expand its scope and develop its own identity.
