(VOVworld) – The Ministry of National Defense, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, and the Vietnam Academy for Social Sciences hosted a symposium in Hanoi on Friday.

Participants highlighted the Vietnamese people’s determination to fight for their independence and freedom and the historical lessons learned. Deputy Defense Minister lieutenant-general Le Chiem said the national struggle, which began 70 years ago, remains a symbol of the Vietnamese undauntedness and courage to sacrifice for the nation in the Ho Chi Minh era: “Today’s symposium reminds us of our history and contributes to educating the revolutionary traditions to the Party, army and people. It also confirms the values of historical lessons and experiences learned from the national struggle for national construction and defense in the new period.”
