(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President To Lam left Hanoi on Monday for state visits to Mongolia and Ireland, the 19th Francophonie Summit, and an official visit to France.

The visits until October 7 are made at the invitation of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Irish President Michael D. Higgins and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The trips reaffirm Vietnam’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, and comprehensive and extensive international integration.
They also demonstrate Vietnam’s respect for the traditional friendship with Mongolia, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Ireland, and the strategic partnership with France.
