The top leader attended the inauguration of the plaque honoring President Ho Chi Minh in France's Sainte-Adresse city. He applauded the city's consideration of this plaque as a heritage site, and thanked French people, loyal friends of Vietnam, who have always striven to preserve historical sites that mark President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to savage the country.

“Perhaps the years spent in France on the journey to find a way to save the country were an opportunity for President Ho Chi Minh as well as the entire Vietnamese people to bond more closely with the French people by sharing the values of peace, freedom and solidarity and working together to fight against oppression and exploitation in the world," he said.

The commemorative plaque is placed in the city's Masquelier Place, in front of the house that President Ho Chi Minh used to live in, which is now used as a place to organize community activities of the city. The plaque is engraved with French and Vietnamese words saying that from 1911-1912, President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in the city of Sainte-Adresse in the Masquelier area on his long journey for the future of Vietnam.
