(VOVworld)- Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksiy Shovkoplias has expressed his hope that Vietnam and Ukraine would promote cooperation in various areas including economics, trade, education and diplomacy. Speaking to a VOV reporter on Friday on the occasion of Ukraine's National Day, the Ukrainian Ambassador said Ukraine treasured the relations with Southeast Asian countries with Vietnam being its largest partner. Ukraine has proposed Vietnamese leaders promote the establishment of ASEAN + Ukraine forum and Vietnam agreed to carry out this initiative. "We are trying to bring Vietnam’s exports to Ukraine this year to 400 million USD and achieve the target of 1 billion USD in the next three years. To this end, we need to sign the Free Trade Agreement to boost exports between the two countries. By the end of October or early November, both countries will meet in HCM City to discuss the signing of the Vietnam- Ukraine Free Trade Agreement", said the Ukrainian Ambassador .
