Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong informed of the guests of the results of the 12th National Party Congress and called for the strengthening of cooperation between the two parties. John Bachtell said his party treasured its relationship with the Communist Party of Vietnam. He also pledged to do everything possible to contribute to the smooth development of cooperation between the two parties, countries and peoples in the near future. The same day, John Bachtell held talks with Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs. They exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern. During their visit to Vietnam, the US delegation paid tribute at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and worked with several ministries and agencies.
