The White House is considering a broad array of measures to curb the nation's gun violence, which claims numerous lives each year, according to Sunday’s Washington Post.

A commission led by Vice-President Joe Biden is looking at several measures including tightening background checks for firearm buyers and tracking the movement and sale of weapons domestically. Strengthening mental health checks and stiffening penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors are also under consideration.
