US increases sanctions against Venezuela
(VOVWORLD) - The US on Tuesday imposed new sanctions on Venezuela’s Minerven state gold mining company and its president, Adrian Perdomo. The company’s property and assets in the US have been frozen and all US citizens are banned from doing business with them.

The US has revoked 600 visas for Venezuelan officials and their relatives. The Venezuelan Foreign Minister said last month that US sanctions are harming Venezuelan citizens and creating an economic crisis. He said Venezuela has signed oil contracts with several countries despite the US sanctions.
