US President rules out declaring emergency on border wall issue
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump said on Friday he would not declare a national emergency for now as a way of securing funds for a border wall and ending a partial government shutdown.

US media said the White House was preparing for a national emergency allowing President Trump to build a wall along the US-Mexico border.
The 3-weeks government shutdown was on the verge of becoming the longest on record, overtaking the 21-day record set in 1995 under President Bill Clinton.
