Vietnam and Ireland cooperate to assist Vietnam’s disabled people
(VOVworld) - The government and people of Ireland will continue to help Vietnam’s disabled people take part in economic and social activities.
A representative of the Ireland embassy in Vietnam said so at a seminar in Hanoi yesterday. Ireland shared with Vietnam its experience in helping disabled people become an integral part of national socio-economic development. Vietnam has 5.3 million disabled people - more than 6 percent of its population - most of whom live in rural areas. In recent years, Vietnam has made considerable progress in supporting disabled people.
