During the talks following the ceremony, the two leaders acknowledged the positive growth in bilateral economic and trade relations, particularly since the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement (FTA) came into effect in 2016. In 2024, bilateral trade totaled nearly 500 million USD, though both sides agreed that this growth is not yet fully sustainable.

Recognizing the untapped potential for stronger cooperation, the two legislators agreed to enhance cooperation at the local level to better leverage local potential and contribute to broader bilateral relations. Chairman Man proposed that Armenia encourage cultural exchanges and promote the shared history and values between the two nations and suggested the establishment of an Armenia-Vietnam Friendship Association in Armenia.

The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination and mutual support in multilateral parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Southeast Asian Nations (AIPA), and the Francophone Parliamentary Union (APF). Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed the two sides work closely at regional forums, support ASEAN and Vietnam’s stance on the East Sea issue, advocating for peaceful dispute resolution in accordance with international law, the United Nations Charter, and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

President Alen Simonyan highlighted Armenia's appreciation of Vietnam not only as a friend but also as a leading economic and trade partner in the region. He said Armenia would host the United Nations Conference on Biological Diversity (COP 17) in 2026, and expressed hope that Vietnam would send a high-level delegation to the event.

After the talks, the two legislators signed a Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnamese and Armenian National Assemblies.
