On Tuesday, the airline officially resumed its Hanoi–Kuala Lumpur direct route with a frequency of three flights per week. Meanwhile, the Ho Chi Minh City–Kuala Lumpur route is currently operating seven flights per week. The reopening of this route is expected to strengthen trade and cooperation between Vietnam and Malaysia, which is serving as the ASEAN Chair in 2025 and remains one of Vietnam’s key economic partners in the region.

On Sunday, Vietnam Airlines reinstated flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong (China) with one daily flight, bringing the total number of round-trip flights between Vietnam and Hong Kong to 14 per week. This move boosts trade between two of the region’s largest economic centers while facilitating travel for businesspeople and tourists.

The same day, the airline resumed the Da Nang–Bangkok (Thailand) route, which now connects three major Vietnamese cities—Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang—to Bangkok with a total of 60 flights per week. This expansion is expected to meet the growing demand for tourism and enhance connectivity between key travel destinations in the region.
